One of the things that becomes evident once you look into the way things are is that the loudest voices, and they have been the loudest voices for a very long time, are the mainstays of what we would call the colonisers, the imperialists.
They spread their point of view, their cultural outlook into every country, every culture, they could subjugate in one way or another.
And this standard, of the White European being the peak of learning, of technology, of society, carries on in their mass media that has colonised the planet.
The problem with this is, that for nearly 99% of it, its white guys doing everything.
They build your roads, your houses, bake your bread, grow your food, build your schools, your universities, they teach your kids, take care of you when you are sick, rescue you, protect you.
They do everything that society depends on to exist. But we all, deep down know the truth.
All the roles that make a functioning society are filled with a diverse range of people from cultures across the planet that from the vast web of interactions that make life go on.
But the loudest voices, the ones with the longest reach, who travel the shortest distance, don’t see the real world.
How could they?
They live lives of riches, of privilege, of insulation.
They see the world they believe, no matter if it doesn’t reflect anything that’s been true for decades.
So, when they say lets gets rid of the brown guy, the trans woman, the gay teacher, the intersex doctor, it means nothing to them. It won’t affect them.
But it will pull out important pieces of the structure of the lives of everybody else.
Life is for most a house of cards.
You can lose a few, sort out something to make up for the change, but when enough of them get removed, when you lose the people who pick your food, build your roads, educate your children, well, it all comes down in a crashing heap.
And then you can’t live, you can’t work, and that affects someone else in their life.
And your card falls, and then their card falls, and so on, and so on, until we end up with a cascade of failure.
Of more and more people unable to get by, unable to keep propping up a system that doesn’t care if they live or die, but needs them to prop it all up while it churns along.
Until it doesn’t.
And then loudest voices scream out in terror, because the house has fallen down, and they have no influence anymore.
Of course, by that point we’ve got a collapsed system with food shortages and such, so they are the last thing anyone cares about when you don’t know where your next meal is coming from and how long the power is going to be out.
But they were the loudest voices, and they were listened too, they got their way, and found out how loud they could be, which was loud enough to drown out any voice of reason.
That’s what the world is heading for.
How could it not?
I mean how great is the British Empire now?
