There are those that want us to see the world as a simple binary of men and women, strong and weak, masculine and feminine, and have us defined by that simplicity. Yet to do that, to ignore the accomplishments of so many in history, not defined by how they were born, how they were thought of, how they were expected to be, is to deny the very nature of the universe.

The universe as we know it, down to the basic building blocks, the Higgs Boson, is in constant flux. Quantum Physics tells us that they are changing and transforming, moving from state to state, in every interaction. At the base level our entire existence, every aspect of the universe, changes as it goes through its life interacting with the rest of the universe.

And yet, so many say, very loudly, that this cannot happen to a human being.

You are defined by how you were born, how we simply believe you are to be, unchanging, unaltered by life, unable to be anything but what we define your existence as. And even more so, by how you appear.

Not how you feel, how you think, anything to do with what many may think of as your immortal soul. That means nothing, it is this physical flesh, built upon the lattice of the universe, that is by the way, constantly changing.

The nature of the universe is that things change, nothing is constant, all is in flux. Yet human beings cannot change? Or will not?

I would like to think that we are capable of being anything we want. Being true to ourselves and to others. Being what our souls tell us, not this assumption of who we are defined by how we appear.

The universe is vast and complex. Capable of things we have not yet discovered, contemplated, imagined. Why would you limit human beings from being that way too?”
