You will hear far too many voices talking about conspiracies to destroy our way of life.
This sort of group or that sort of group. They all presuppose that destruction needs to be coordinated, organised. That there cant be just a million little bastards all ripping things apart for their own benefit, own gain.
A billionaire here making a fortune from polluting our water, another billionaire making a fortune from polluting the air, another from destroying journalism, another from poisoning our minds, all these different people getting rich cutting the human race with so many different knives, not caring what happens as they are rich, and can buy their way out of anything that happens.
That’s the truth of things.
Destruction is easy, a cut here, and cut there, soon enough, all you have left are shreds of what we knew.
But creation, true creation of something worthwhile, of something that has true value, that lasts, that changes things for the better, is the task of not one single person, but teams of people.
Take a human life, teachers, doctors, carers, all those people contributing to the formation of a fully conscious and caring human being.
Creation takes time, takes effort, takes energy that must be concentrated to build and sustain things that have true value. There is no quick fix, no shortcut, no simple answer.
This is the fact no one talks about anymore when they say what needs to be done. No one wants to tell you that problems are complex, solutions long and time consuming, that sacrifices will need to be made. No, they will tell you that they will fix it within a year, a month, a couple of weeks.
Things that have been cut and shredded over time will be fixed within the blink of any eye.
They will tell you they can fill the Grand Canyon in a week. And the worst thing, the most horrific part of it now, is that people will accept it.
Because no one wants to admit the truth of anything anymore. That anyone who has succeeded, anyone in a position to truly have the power of your attention, has gotten there in a system that feeds on the fact that it has to look simple, it has to appear easy, for anyone to believe in that any of it is worthwhile.
Because once you learn that the system is built on exploiting the majority, crushing anyone who gets in its way, you start to see the powerful, the rich, the influential, for their complicity in it all.
No one gets rich from decency, no gets power from kindness, no gets influence from charity.
Its opportunity, taking what they can get, exploiting the moment, and letting the bodies fall where they may.
Creation is from the workers, and the leaders take all the credit.
